8. Working with no order.
Finally, something else that is detrimental to your productivity is the order in which you work on tasks. How do you determine which tasks you work on first each day? Is it the first thing you remember that you have to do, or the first thing someone tells you that needs to be done? Well, if that’s the case, you’re killing your productivity. You should always start your day with the most urgent or important things to you need to do and end your day with the least important, non-urgent items. This is so that you get everything that needs to be done out of the way first, then you can work on things that aren’t necessarily important later. You won’t be rushing at the end of the day to finish tasks and you’ll feel more accomplished, too!
